Our house off season
It's simply incredible off season. Lake Michigan beach, which is beautiful always, bring you pale blues and all shades of yellows in the fall, then burst with frozen waves and looks like Mars in the winter. You can snowshoe on the beach, take a snowmobile ride on Kal-Haven trail, take a spin on a ice scating ring in downtown South Haven or drive to nearby ski parks: Pigeon Creek Cross Country Ski and Park (40 min away) or to Bitersweet resort for mountain ski (45 min away). Then come back to warm house, put braised meat in the oven to slowly cook for a few hours, while you enjoy few drinks near hot fireplace and ... yes, it's time for the spa!
Our state of the art steam sauna/shower room and dry cedar Finish sauna (seats 6), will relax and distress you. Steam room generate moist heat, can open up your pores, loosen up your muscles and help you relax. The heat helps improve circulation and, of course, promotes sweating, which opens up the pores and cleanses the skin. Steam rooms may be beneficial for people with allergies or congestion in the chest or sinuses.
The high heat of a Dry sauna sends the heart rate higher when you enter the room. This speeds the blood’s circulation through the body. This can help those with poorer circulation by getting the blood out to their arms, hands, legs and feet.
